Why We Built This Site
Winona County users often have to move between several official systems before they find the record they need. The Minnesota Judicial Branch handles district-court records through MCRO and the Winona County District Court page. Winona County handles marriage certificates, recorded documents, and sheriff functions through separate offices. The result is accurate public access, but it is scattered across different places. This site pulls the basic paths together and keeps the local office names in one place.

When a record belongs with the court, the courthouse and MCRO are the right starting points. When it belongs with the county recorder or vital records office, the search path changes. That distinction is why the site links the county pages directly instead of trying to flatten everything into one generic search result.
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to the Winona County District Court, Court Administrator Ellie Wilke, the Recorder and Vital Records office, Sheriff Ron Ganrude's office, or any Minnesota state agency. There are real limits to what this site can do:
